The Worst Day Of My Life....well sort of?
Argh.......from now on,I hate sheeps for the rest of my life!and never try soup when you are having steamboat!
To start things off,last Tuesday(26/7),a bunch of my friends and I went for an outing to the zoo.Settled our lunch in AMK central with the usual for me!YAY,just love the fish n chips in S11.Then Wilson had to do a little errand on his own,but Samuel and I tag along,just to see any interesting stuff.Wilson spent like a lotta money on Naruto collectible cards,lucky for him,he got some nice foil cards,I think he spent almost $30+ on....wow!......and a little fear that he might not have enough money for the steamboat later.We were split into 3 teams,the girls,Amos and Jayson and us trio,so the guys met up at the bus stop and went the wrong direction,haha,we didnt notice the girls,we followed Wilson to the mrt as he needed to top up his card.Along the way,Cheryl caught up with us,telling us we went the wrong way.Thanks to Sam's quick thinking,he said we were following Wilson(MUHAHA!),think he was trying to push the blame on Wilson for the wrong route.We met up with the girls at the opposite bus stop and took the bus...TO THE ZOO!
Along the way,we suddenly realised that we dont know where we will be stopping so Jayson(Brave Warrior!) asked the bus driver when is the bus going to stop at the zoo.With the answer,we waited till the end of the line(actually,there were some foreigners on the bus,so we could just wait and see where they are leaving because most probably they are visiting the zoo too).We had to wait for Yee Hong,MIA as usual but after a while,we decided that once he arrives,he has to catch up with us.
The ticket was expensive,$14 person,ouch,that makes a nice hole in my pockets.We manage to touch a snake and see this rare bird,similar to a parrot but boy! does it make a loud sound that breaks ur ear drums!we head off to see other unique species until Yee hoong arrives and I offered to guide him to the rest of the party.What surprised me was that he manage to walk past the security without purchasing a ticket,I was thinkin if he had bought the ticket so I asked him and he didnt!I told him to buy and continued to wait along with Wilson who also offered to guide.(guess Wilson can't stand the smell of animal poo)We continued our adventure,with a full party,seeing more rare species and more nasty smells.We manage to catch a show,its was great especially with one kid trying to toss a frisbee towards a seel but failed in all attempts,LOL!Have to make special exceptions to the white lions and a huge crocodile,think it managed to survive from the dinosaur age? which might explain its huge size.Had a few laughs along the way with butterflies stuck on Clara's,Amanda's and Jayson's cap,think the butterflies fancy caps,too bad it didnt rest on Amos's or Wilson's one.
Here's why I hate sheeps from now on,our party was split into 2 due to the one being slow,and I was with them.I tried to find others until I heard what it seems to be 'Zach" so I ran frantically to find the source,thinking it might be Sam,only to my anger,its a freaking sheep!yep...my friends laugh at my stupidity and even mock me by calling my name like a sheep......T_T.Further on,we manage to see horses then suddenly said that my hair look like the horse,as in the style and colour,it was demoralising....
We left the zoo and off to Marina Bay for steamboat,it was a long ride,taking the bus back to AMK central then taking a train down.Well once we reached there,we met this old man who kept persuading us to accept leaflets he is distributing,I understand he wants to clear the leaflets,but why approached to us only and not to other strangers taking the same and only bus as us?
The steamboat cost $12 person,and Sam didnt have enough cash after having a stop at KFC during our trip to the zoo so I offered to lend him the money first,We had great fun as it was a gender fight in who can cook a better soup,so everybody went off to grab the ingredients.The boys started out frying and soon our aluminium foil turned black...haha,yummy,carbon!We started dumping everything we wanted to cook into the pot with special note to Wilson for cooking the crabsticks WITHOUT removing the plastic soup,we tasted our soup and it tasted alright,thank goodness! and the girls started to add herbs into theirs.Sam and Wilson started mocking their soup,saying drinking that soup will cause major nose bleed and its for pregnancy if memory serves.Near the end,we couldnt eat everything due to 2 very wonderful people,Yee Hong and Wilson for taking a pile of chicken wings...so we were forced to dump everything inside the soup but before that,we had decided who was the winner!.........its was...............nobody,haha,our soup tasted burnt while theirs was 'funky' which might be due to the soup they brought.We left in a hurry as wastage of food cost money,hiding in the arcade only for one of them to return my chain(I'm SO SORRY EVERYBODY!....T_T)thank goodness they didnt charge us for the wastage and we left home happily,having great fun.For pictures of our trips....go to
